2.The Desert Fox The Desert Rats (2 Disc Box Set) [1951]The Desert Fox / The Desert Rats (2 Disc Box Set) [1951]
from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment
Price: £7.97

Customer Review:
James Mason gives two very different impersonations of Rommel, every Brit's favorite Nazi general, in The Desert Fox and The Desert Rats. The former is a solid biopic more concerned with his involvement in the plot to assassinate Hitler than his exploits in Africa, painting him as an honorable man... more info

3.The Lady From Shanghai [1948]The Lady From Shanghai [1948]
from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment
Price: £5.68

Customer Review:
Coming straight from a viewing of The Third Man, one of my all time favourites, and a great performance from Welles, The Lady From Shanghai was a bit of a dissappointment. Welles's acting is the foremost problem. It's as if he was unsure of what to make of the character, where to... more info

4.Lust For Life [1956]Lust For Life [1956]
from Warner Home Video
Price: £6.97

Customer Review:
First of all - this is a very good film. Certainly four star. For those who have only seen him in Spartacus Kirk Douglas' performance is exceptional and I am not sure that he deserved to lose out to Yul Brynner in "The King and I". Anthony Quinn was also nomianted for Best Supprting Actor playing... more info

Customer Review:
"The Enforcer" was directed by Bretaigne Windust (and Raoul Walsh, uncredited) in 1951 and starred Humphrey Bogart in the lead role as a District Attorney attempting to send a crime organization boss to the chair. Its loosely based on an organization, dubbed Murder Inc. by the press, who in the... more info

8.Sirocco [1951]Sirocco [1951]
from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment
Price: £6.97

Customer Review:
Please read my comment on Possessed (1947, with Joan Crawford). This film is from the same director, Curtis Bernhardt. However I prefer much more Possessed. But this is rather a matter of taste. You may prefer this one to Possessed. So try and make your own opinion. I think both are worth to watch.

from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment
Price: £6.97

Customer Review:
Outstanding 1951 movie with James Mason as Rommel the gypsy German Nazi war hero. This movie presents the real story about Rommel, and it is not a silly Where Eagles Dare cartoonish movie. It is based on fact, and it is very enlightening.
The most accurate parts of this film are the husband and... more info
