1.Blues BreakersBlues Breakers
by John Mayall
Price: £3.47

Customer Review:
I was going to mention Clapton's christening of the Les Paul, Marshall setup, but others have beaten me to it. I liken it's impact to what happened to harp playing when Little Walter and other's deciding to blow through the PA or an early guitar amp. They REDEFINED the sound of the instrument.more info

2.A Hard RoadA Hard Road
by John Mayall's Bluesbreakers
Price: £3.47

Customer Review:
Where is 'Greeny'? I just can't believe it. The most stunning, emotional bluesy Peter Green song and it is not on this otherwise brilliant album. I now have to dig deeper and purchase the double CD version which is quite a bit more expensive just for this one track alone.
Why, oh why, oh why?

3.Blues From Laurel CanyonBlues From Laurel Canyon
by John Mayall's Bluesbreakers
Price: £4.47

Customer Review:
I bought this on vinyl (twice! I wore one out) and on CD (albeit in original format without the 2 extra tracks). This album ranks with the Beano one as a 60s classic: Mick Taylor is brilliant (and still only 20 years old - downhill from now on....) and the whole thing is a masterpiece of ensemble... more info

4.Bare WiresBare Wires
by John Mayall's Bluesbreakers
Price: £3.98

Customer Review:
This is the original release, plus 4 tracks that are available elsewhere.
The album was a change of direction for Mayall, to a more jazz-based sound in many areas. However, there is plenty for the blues fan to enjoy as well, particularly in the playing of Mick Taylor, who plays with a maturity... more info

5.Bluesbreakers With Eric ClaptonBluesbreakers With Eric Clapton
by John Mayall's Bluesbreakers
Price: £8.98

Customer Review:
Superb album, some great songs and god knows how many moments that send a real chill down the spine. Also has some of Clapton's best playing including a fantastic Les Paul sound, which became the "woman tone" that has influenced who knows how many people. Great songs, great playing, great voices - a... more info

6.CrusadeCrusade
by John Mayall's Bluesbreakers
Price: £4.98

Customer Review:
I bought this on vinyl all those years ago, played it to death for months and promptly forgot about it! I remember thinking it was ever so slightly disappointing after the overwhelming brilliance of the Clapton and Green albums. Mick Taylor's playing was great but seemed slightly stilted compared to... more info

7.The Turning PointThe Turning Point
by John Mayall
Price: £8.99

Customer Review:
At times intense, at others relaxing, this live, semi-acoustic, jazz-blues album stands in John Mayall's discography as second only to the 'Beno album'. This isn't that loud, messy jazz; this is relaxing and at times even beautiful.
The musician's interplay is wonderful, with guitar, flute,... more info

8.Looking BackLooking Back
by John Mayall
Price: £2.98

Customer Review:
I admit I've always been a bit biassed against this release. In Holland we were blessed with a compilation release called "So Many Roads" which had the original singles mixes of Double Touble & It Hurts Me Too, not the US-mixes that are on this "Looking Back" comp that omit... more info

10.Diary Of A Band Vol 1 and 2Diary Of A Band Vol 1 & 2
by John Mayall's Bluesbreakers
Price: £8.98

Customer Review:
This is the Mayall band of the Mick Taylor era, with one or two personnel changes between the tracks (mainly of bassplayer!). Mayall used to record all his gigs on a 2 track reel to reel tape recorder, so don't expect 2008 sound quality! However, the music more than makes up for the poor sound, with... more info
