Absolutely brilliant!! This has been the first novel I have read by Sara MacDonald, and I just couldn't put the book down. I am an avid reader of all types of books, both fiction and non-fiction, but this book has to be one of the very best books I have read in years. The book is beautifully written by setting the scene in Cornwall, without boring you with too much detail. FAB!!! Brilliantly written! Moving stories of both present and past. Deep thoughts and wonderful prose. Characters that would stay with me for life. And lessons learned I would be foolish not to take to heart. A must read!
An Emotional Journey I really like this book - have read it a few times now. Both stories, past and present, keep the reader interested and the characters become people you care about. Every time I read it I cry at the end. I can picture the house in London where Gabby and Mark live, the whole story is wonderfully emotional and grips you from beginning to end.
