'We All Get Lost Once in a While!' The next time you lose something, comfort yourself with the idea that it's probably gone to a place called Here! This is a whimsical story with a heroine called Sandy Shortt who has never really found herself; it takes a visit to A Place Called Here to present her with the path to enlightenment and self-discovery.

The whole "ooh no, I hate it when things go missing!!" aspect of Sandy's character was ridiculously over-egged. Everything was done so clunkily and obviously. No subtlety in the writing at all. Fantastic story! I can't believe some of the reviewers only giving this story 2 stars! I thought it was brilliant. This is such a different and unique story - I couldn't put it down. It is great to read a book that doesn't bore me with the same old topics. I recommend this book to those who love a good fairytale twist.
Imaginative and beautiful If you have no imagination, don't bother with this book. You probably won't like it. Personally, I loved it. The heroine comes across the place where lost things and people go; it's a wonderfully developed idea and I fell in love with Ahern's books as a result of this novel. She writes with succint and moving prose, her characters are well defined and fascinating. It's like a child's fairy tale for grown ups.
