Fresh hell from the Demonata - you can't cheat death..."I'm a human sponge -- I soak up memories. I feel like a thief, stealing secrets with an innocent touch. I don't like this gift. It's intrusive and sneaky. I think it's harmless, but I can't be sure. If knowledge is power, why do I feel so alone!?" The apocalypse came and the world burned. But it wasn't the end, and out of the destruction, new life has emerged. Bec is back to face the Demonata. After centuries of imprisonment, she's more powerful than ever, but the demons no longer stand alone. Something else has crawled out of the darkness with her. Lord Loss is no longer humanity's greatest threat!

Fantastic a great new book in the demonata series bec is the narrator (following the pattern, look out for grubbs as the next narrator) and this has plenty of action scenes and grisly bits like you would expect. in short a very good book

good book but... If you have read all the darren shan books then you wil know that this is the worst one yet. i have loved all of his books so far(except blood beast) it isnt to bad but the plot is quite bad like when one of the characters randomly explodes for no reason. and Zombies... but i wont ruin the plot for everyone...
Another amazing chapter in Darren Shan's epic Demonata series Barcode: 9780007260379 So, with Death's Shadow we see the return of Bec as narrator. Still coming to terms with the modern world and her own abilities, she isn't given much time to settle down before our heroes are already thrust back into danger. The pace, as always with Shan's books is slick, the countless Lost-esque mysteries playing through your mind again and again as you try and decipher what's going on. It's fascinating and you just love the series all the more for it. Bec is a great... more info
