Great to help you get your head round riding the snow! I bought this book after a disastrous first snowboarding lesson with an instructor who was 'too cool for school'. Not necessarily his fault, he was a teenager and seemed to find it difficult to talk to girls.
I wanted to know what my arms and legs should be doing to enable me to stay upright and basically move on the board! This book really explained everything so well and I was able to visualise and think about it properly before my next go on the board.

Great for women - and men should take a sneak read too! I bought this book for my wife and she loves it. Snowboarding can seem a bit macho-dominated for some women, and this book gets past all that to teach snowboarding in a slightly more feminine way. In fact, by avoiding the teenage male nonsense and focusing on the pure sport, it's a great way for men to learn as well - so guys, buy it for your girlfriends but read it yourselves!

Kudos to Julia, this book is truly inspirational! This book is easy to read and chock-full of information. The pictures are strategically placed so that the reader is able to visulaize everything from how a drill works to what type of equipment is out there for women.
