Missing a real plot The main character goofs around a bit and gets laid before stumbling on the conspiracy. It was enjoyable enough, but mostly uneventful.
Enjoyable Thriller A ghostwriter, and narrator of this novel, is called on to write the memoirs of recent retired British Prime Minister, Adam Lang. However, he soon finds that the previous ghostwriter who was in the process of writing Lang's memoirs, died in mysterious circumstances. Disappointing overall you'll have the gist of the story from the other reviews so I won't bother too much with that and give you a brief asessment of the book as a novel . Its not the most exciting read you'll ever have although it is quite atmospheric in a sort of Shipping News type of way ( althoughy just as plodding ! ) . Its quite evocative of Marthas Vineyard in winter and how rough the weather can be with its portrayal of windswept and rainy beaches and hamlets .

Not entirely impressed I am not entirely impressed with the novel " Ghost" by Robert Harris. It becomes clear in the review. The concepts and ideas introduced are fascinating to learn about. Ghost writing is a concept which I am not familar with and it is interesting to learn in greater detail about the concept. This adds originality to the plot in terms of a political thriller.
