A review of the book and series My two daughters read finding the fox and loved it. Now aged 11 and 9 they pestered me for each book in the series as soon as it was released. My nine year old has just finished the whole series for a second time. I've only read bits but the quality of writing is excellent and the books clearly inspire the age group that they are aimed for.
I see a new book from Ali Sparks is due and I have pre ordered two copies although it is a shame they will not be out before christmas - perhaps Oxford Press... more info
An enjoyable read. i found this book by accident in a local secondhand book shop where it had been pushed to the back of the shelf, i decided to buy it as i liked the blurb and i'm glad i did. The story is of a young boy called Dax who after cruel treatment from his stepmother finds that he can Shapeshift into a Fox, the story follows his stransformation and what happens after which includes a special boarding school, a nosy reporter and a mystery that could lead Dax to his death. Excellent read I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone, I couldn't put it down and am eagerly awaiting "Running the Risk"
Buy this book! this book is excellent, you can't help but like dax and gideon his friend, is really funny. this book is gripping and races along, whilst having some really funny moments. i enjoyed it from start to finish, i can't wait for the follow up.buy this book!
