Surprisingly good eco-thriller Well, what do you expect from `issue' novels? Wafer thin characters, pedestrian writing and a clunky plot interspersed with screeds of propaganda. Crackerjack first three quarters, disappointing last quarter I gave this three stars overall but it deserves 5 stars for the first part which was a great eco-thriller - but the last part of the book was such a let down in that there was a happy ending, the world is OK again, the downtrodden inherit the earth and the hero laywer gets the girl.. The book cover says ' will there be a day after tomorrow ? ' - hmmm , its was all going catastrophically badly, governements supressing information, witnesses dying, the Big One hits Calfornia and this is dealt with in a few... more info
