Far too good for my liking I was not happy when this book was published, because as soon as I read the first section I knew my days of getting a table for dinner at a paltry fortnight's notice were over. My fears have proved correct, and I suspect largely because of AA Gill's riveting commentary on the workings of this exemplary restaurant which accompanies the (sometimes complex and all too fallible) recipes. Great book, terrific recipies, brilliant restaurant Salmon fishcakes, Scandinavian iced berries... this book is mouthwatering. Can't see Mr Gill being thrown out of this one!
