Great help! Having struggled on 'doing the books' for my husband out of neccessity, not desire, I decided to give this book a go. At last, plain talking easy to understand literature that I can now use in my daily bookkeeping and I can also understand the principle behind accounting. I already use spreadsheets but there is only a small mention of those in the book however it is so easy to follow that you can set up your own system and I have adapted mine. Will soon be doing the accounts without an Accountant!!!!!!!
Not useful for a Limited Company Sorry but this book does not do what it says on the tin. I run a one employee limited company - that's a small business in my book, but in this book it is stated that the simplified bookkeeping system described is not suitable for a limited company. This not made clear in the Amazon description so I'm afraid I will be sending it back.
