This is NOT young adult.Vulgar. What a shame that the author has changed his style. Vulgar words are NOT what one would expect in a YA book.
I agree most of these words children hear in the playground, but hey can be avoided. Even James Bond says Oops or damn, he does not use the words printed in hear.
I read all the books before I give them to my sons and they wont get this one. Its such a shame as they have been a good series. They were almost as good as the Alex Rider, Jason Steed and Jimmy Coates books. This has put the... more info
A word of caution This book was great, fast, pacy, a really topical read BUT I totally disagree with the 11+ rating most people give this. It is FULL of inappropriate language and some quite gory and violent stuff which in my opinion makes it more suitable for 13+. I'm afraid our primary school took these out of the library, which is a shame given the brilliant storyline. Why, oh why do authors put loads of swearing in books aimed at children?
Another great story from Robert Muchmore This thrilling tale is about how James Adams (a CHERUB Agent), Kyle and Lauren (James's sister) have to try to infiltrate an animal rights organisation. They are all thrown into a world of extreme political violence. James and Kyle meet up with two brothers who want to get involved with the AFA (Animal Freedom Army). From there they find themselves in a world of political extremism meeting people that will do anything to help animals. James and Kyle hear of a massive plot that involves some sort of extreme... more info
Man vs Beast (CHERUB) Having read all the previous CHERUB books i wasn't sure what to expect with this book. All the previous books have been superb and i have to say, so was this. It is another fast paced novel. I read the last hundred or so pages so quickly as they keep you turning pages, scared and excited as to what would happen next. I think this, and 'Maximum Security' are the best books i have read since Alex Rider. Read this book but be sure to read the previuos ones - starting with 'The Recruit' - first.
