not much of a navel gaze Anyone looking for some deep understanding of the 'fall' of the BritishEmpire will be disappointed. Some introspective view would have been anice addition. For a non-Brit many assumptions of fact may be a littlehard to swallow. The relationships Britan had with its Carribean & Africancolony's is covered in good level of detail. overall not a bad lookfor a survey of the period.
