I have read a lot of the reviews both here and on the US site and I find a lot of the people writing negative reviews have missed the point. It does say in the book that its not meant to be the be all and end all, its to give you ideas and imspiration into figuring out how you can cut back and save money. You have decide what works for you. Essential We bought this book fours years ago and we still refer back to it. Although it is American, with a little intelligence, everything is easily used in the UK and beyond. We have a young family and have managed to live on one income and some 'quiet' times workwise. A book that turned my life around I have always been worrried about having little money coming into the house and was always thinking of ways to earn more. This book has changed my whole attitude, instead of focusing on how to earn more, I am now focusing on how to save more, be more creative, eat more nutritionally & most importantly spend more quality time with the kids.
