Sexinesss all the wayy I bought this book after reading the reviews written by previous readers and i have to say i loved it! as a avid reader of alot of very different books this was a breath of fresh air..so the story is a little far fetched? i overlooked that and loved it anyway.
Stefan exudes sexiness in a rough and tough way but it was nice to see some vulnerability in the hero as well, Tanya just made me laugh...how she always thort she could actually escape them was hilarious especially after her many failed... more info
excellent read The prince of Cardinia goes in search of his betrothed who was sent to America because of a blood fued which wiped out her whole family. The young princess Tanya has no desire to be married as she wants her own independance which is rare for a woman in 1835. Stafan also has objections to the marrage but as it is his fathers last dying wish he will stop nothing to return Tanya to her homeland and sit on the throne as queen of Cardinia.When the journey home begins Tanya tries to escape her golden eye prince... more info
Has It's Flaws But Is Saved By..... ...the foreplay that runs throughout the book between Stefan and Tanya.
If you ignore all the far-fetched aspects of the story (and there are many) you may enjoy this book. One part I found ludicrous was Tanya's disguise aided by actors make-up that takes but a few minutes of application to achieve the 'haggard' look and which stays on throughout the day.....firstly, where does she find this 'actor's make-up' seeing as she lives in the Mississippi valley and is penniless. Secondly, how can it not look... more info
Once a Princess I'm a great fan of Johanna Lindsey and this is one of my favourite books. I love the way the hero has a vulnerability about him and hides it behind a tough exteria. The heroine is strong, independent and determined and more forgiving then I would ever be...a great story and brilliant read.
