Disappointed. I never read reviews for Johanna Lindseys books because I love them all, but what a disappointment to find a futuristic book with talking computers, transferring and spaceships etc.. Where was her beautiful historical romances when women were swept off their feet. Looking at the reviews I won't be buying Warrior Womem which I assume is set in the same era.
JL , What happened? I am an avid reader of all JL books and have kept all 24 that I have previously read on my "Keeper shelf". This book however will not be joining the shelf. I spent the 1st 100 pages waiting for the story to really start. The women in the book claim to be strong willed and strong minded but they behave more like slaves in this futuristic world where men have the final word over whatever women do. A book to "knock your socks off." To be honest at first I was a bit surprised to find that this wasn`t a historial romance, but a fantasy romance. However don`t let this put you off. This is one of Linseys best creations as she has taken complete control by creating her own worlds and cultures. Once again she has shown her mastery at weaving storys to keep you turning the page. I just couldn`t put the book down. With her wonderfully complexed characters and cultures you are able to submerge yourselves with in the stories.
BORING I USUALLY LOVE JL BOOKS, BUT THIS ONE HAS NO STORYLINE OR PLOT!!! COME ON JL YOU CAN DO A LOT BETTER THAN THIS. ALTHOUGH THE CHARACTERS WERE THE USUAL FIESTY FEMALE AND ARROGANT MALE THERE WAS NOTHING TO KEEP ME INTERESTED AND I FOUND MYSELF SKIPPING PAGES TO FIND A GOOD BIT!!!!!
