Fantastic Book This book makes you feel hungry just from reading it. The chocolate cake is divine and the main course dishes have you ringing friends to come around and try over a bottle of wine. This book is simply divine - although don't expect to make anything in 10 minutes as this is about enjoying cooking and food as well as eating it!
Gorgeous! Worth the money just for the pictures, this book supplies just what you need to take a culinary trip to rural France. Lots of easy recipes and a wealth of inspiration. Actually, it's influenced my interior decor as well as my cooking - how's that for value?
great gift I loved this book. A good read when using a railrover train ticket seeing France. It kept me hungry and allowed me to overspend in restaurants in Lille, Lyon and Marseille. Now I am back home, I shall have to start using it to make others as happy as it made me.
Great for garlic lovers I love this book and am steadily working my way through the recipes. Top for me is Gascony soup, which blends tomatoes, lots of roasted garlic, mushrooms and red wine into something that tastes different from all those things. Good balance of easy/quick and harder recipes too. Joanne Harris' text makes it fun to read as well while you are deciding what to make next.
