"What am I going to cook tonight?" Anyone who cooks regularly for friends, family or just for themselves will be very familiar with that question. The difficult part is often not preparing the food - which can be enjoyable and simple - but coming up with ideas in the first place. "Rachel's Favourite Food" offers inspiring ideas for the different kinds of meals that make up each week, from Sunday brunch to simple comfort food, from great family meals to a dinner party for friends. Based on the television series of the same name, "Rachel's Favourite Food" is an essential kitchen companion to everyone whose lifestyle demands flexibility, fresh thinking, good food - and all in a hurry. Great but simple recipes based on fresh ingredients that are widely available are combined with bright ideas for entertaining with flair while ensuring that it's all fun. Not just an ordinary cookbook, but a treasure trove of ideas as well, "Rachel's Favourite Food" is bound to find an eager and enthusiastic readership. Wide range of delicious recipes I bought all of Rachel's books so far and they're all excellent - easy to follow recipes for many occasions. These are cookery books for people with a normal busy life (meaning you don't have the time to spend all day shopping and cooking) who still want good food. There always are some recipes that you can knock up even when you can't really be bothered to cook at all, like "Gremolata Sauce for Pasta", which doesn't even require any actual cooking (apart from the pasta you've only got to chop and mix). The best out of the R Allen books This is my favourite Rachel Allen book, well used as the pages are stuck together from refering to the recipes. It's very easy to use and the ingredients are easily obtainable. It doesn't try to be fancy, more homely than anything else. Try the cardamon chicken, coconut noodles, they are very more-ish.
Brilliant I have three of Rachel's books all of which are brilliant.
I have tried so many of her recipes and haven't been disappointed yet, every one has been a success and you can't say that about many cookbooks.
I recommend them all.
Good no nonsense range of recipes Excellent range of recipes most of which are not difficult or time consuming to do. Most can be done quite quickly and/or do not need constant supervision or fiddly preparation. Down to earth writing with tips for variations and ways to dress up the recipes for entertaining. Will definately be buying her next book which is already on my wishlist!
