OK for little ones... not for me Meet Spot and his father, Sam, as they go to the farm to look for baby animals. You can learn some names of baby farm animals like, Lambs, which are baby sheep, Foals, which are baby horses and Calves, which are baby cows. But none of those little animals are at the farm: only their parents are - which baby animals are there? Find out in this great book...

Good, but not as good as Wheres Spot? Although 'Where's Spot' is my son's absolute favourite book, this did not meet with the same degree of enthusiasm.
That's not to say he doesn't like it, just not as much as 'Where's Spot?' ... maybe it's the repetitive text in that one or maybe the novelty value was worn down, but both 'Spot goes to the Farm' and 'Spot Visits his Grandparents' seem to work as a "side-dish" for him i.e. only good alongside 'Where's Spot', though does read both more often than most of his other books.
Terrific interactive book for your budding youngster I have bought lots of other lift the flap and board books for my toddler but this has been his favourite since he was 12 months old. He loves lifting the flaps and listening to the various attempts at animal noises I make! Good strong flaps built imaginatively into the story as parts of the scenery. More pages than most baby books which gives you both time to get really involved but not so long your child becomes bored. Also recommend buying the board book version as this has sustained quite a battering!
An appealing introduction to the delights of Spot Eric Hill's Spot is an evergreen favourite with babies and toddlers enjoying the first pleasures of story time and rightly so. This book is an appropriate introduction to the Spot character, having all the added appeal of the different farm animals and their noises as he searches for baby animals on the farm. It also has the added dimension of teaching the older child the names of each kind of baby animal (i.e. a baby horse is a foal, and so on) so that you should get your money's worth out of this one for... more info
