Excellent Book For Adding To A Swim Teachers Knowledge Having just completed a Level 1 swimming teaching course, I am due to begin my Full teachers this year. I wanted a good book to read through for extra knowledge. I actually don't think the 2 months I have before my next course starts is going to be long enough to read through this mammoth, but very excellent, indepth (yet readable!) book! As I swim in clubs and masters myself, I can picture the various techniques and skills/training etc, that this book discusses. It's very easy to read and understand... more info
A Swimming Bible For All Coaches This book is expansive, thorough, informative and in my opinion, a must for any swimming coach. Maglischo is a gifted coach and author and although the sheer size of his book may be daunting, it is his laid back writing style and meticulous attention to detail that mean almost every conceivable angle on competitive swimming technique and training have been effortlessly covered. An AMAZING, AMAZING book What a wonderful book this one is: It is the most comprehensive book about swimming there is. So very professional, very well organised and edited, making it very clear to read. The best there is, it worth every penny.
A word of warning: don't start reading it after 9 pm: I lost many nights of sleep reading it without noticing the time has passed... and even when I did, I couldn't put it down! Another warning: it is a very big and heavy book! I was quite shocked!
