Very Useful! I really liked this book, it has an entry for every day of the year, and I really liked the style of the author, in fact I think that I will buy the other books in the series too. I have been practicing for 4 years now and I found it very useful!
Disappointing This book would be a great gift for anyone new to witchcraft but is a little shallow for those who have been interested for years. I was expecting a little more writing on the 'year', more sacred days and thoughts and ideas on the turning year. It perhaps could have been more aptly named.I do like the style of Kate's writing and found her Real Witches' Handbook down to earth and informative, but I feel this book should have been more true to the title, it seems even the meditations are nothing more than... more info
The Real Witches year Another welcome addition to The Real Witches series. This is in a slightly different format to the others in the series, being that it is smaller in height and it is hardback, I really liked this style. The built in bookmark was also a brilliant idea.
This has an entry for each day of the year and can be used in any way, it gives you some quite simple things to do and even think about. There are some really lovely simple rituals and meditations. Also gives brief explanations on the Pagan Celebrations, and... more info
Better than expected :) I don't have too many 'Witchy' type books as I prefer to do things the way I like to and my family tradition dictates, and I find most books spend a lot of time telling you what you 'should' do rather than explaining things and allowing you to make your own decisions.
I had Kate West's a real witches kitchen, and liked her style and thought this might be a nice addition to my collection.
