A cynical money-grabbing tie-in I have a weakness for MMOs and their accompanying strategy guides; therefore I have a lot of them. The AoC guide is far and away the worst I've ever come across. It is little more than a reprinting of information available in-game: weapon, combo, armor and spell descriptions. And like most of the descriptions were at the launch of the game, they are pretty much useless. Save your money The official forums offer far more information than you'll get in here. The US ones in particular are full of stickyed threads offering play guides and tips. Though you can't post on the US forums with a European account. The real problem with a printed guide like this is that there have been fundamental changes made to the game since launch and there's no sign of it stopping any time soon so in six months time the game revealed in this guide will be unrecognizable.
Rubbish Does not offer any information at all above what you can figure out easily from the game. No tips on using combos / spells, no detailed information on how attributes affect damage / health / mana / stamina etc, no information on sellers or auction house, very brief (ie useless) information on quests. The maps don't show level ranges. There is not even an index FFS! Don't buy it.
