requiem mass I thought REQUIEM MASS was long drawned out with a weird plot that was hard to follow it gave me a headache and i tended to skip loads which i hate.

Gripping opening - had to find out why! Great first novel If detective fiction is your bag - this is a must - strong plot develops from a gripping opening few pages. The detective - DCI Fenwick - tries to balance sleuthing with his single parent commitments to his two young children (good twist here - read it to find out what). Lots of scope for further character development here. Watch out for future installments!
Excellent Read. I could not put it down! Truly excellent read and a marvelous book from Corley. Her detective is a real human being, and the many facets of his life are handled expertly, interweaving with the main plot. The plot is gripping, thoroughly researched and unfolds well for the reader. I have already bought her second book and can't wait to begin it!
