Wow! Amazing! I have read several of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter novels and since the first I read I have been desperately waiting for the story on Ash and it has been so worth the wait.
I can honestly say this has been the best novel I have ever read and it brought me to tears.

Amazing!! There are two parts to this book and the first part is heartbreaking. I found myself wanting to cry at the pain that Acheron had to endure. I couldn't believe the sheer horror he had to put up with and how evil people were to him. I kept thinking 'What has he ever done to you?' The fact that Styxx, who was horrible and selfish and didn't care about anyone but himself, was the one who was treated like a king really annoyed me. It should have been Acheron. waited and waited and worth it. This was The book we were all waiting for....Oh it was really good. Now we all know who Ash is and why.. Buy it and love it.
Very VERY disappointing Finally, the story of Acheron. After the long wait, I am left feeling cheated and very disappointed.
The first section of the which details how Acheron came to be is raw and gritty, heart rending in places, and quite contrived in others.
Despite the never ending chain of horrific and brutal events of his early life, I read on, hoping that the second section would see the emergence of the Ash I'd glimpsed and become fascinated by in the earlier novels.
