Average I am a huge JM fan and own many of her books - this one, although better than 'Someone to Watch Over Me' was still too short, rushed and overall I felt there was definitely something missing. All her historical novels are excellent but somehow I don't enjoy the contemporary ones as much (even though Perfect and Paradise are my faves!) All in all, an average read - not up to usual JM standards...
Not as good as usual.... I love Judith McNaught and rushed to buy this in hardback. I was disappointed as I didn't feel that was anywhere near her usual standard. I thought the plot was weak and the ending rushed. Fans like me will no doubt buy this but any newcomers to Judith McNaught should read Paradise, Perfect and all of the historical romances such as Whitney and Almost Heaven before reading this.

This could be due to the fact she has brought characters from her first contemporaries "Perfect" and "Paradise" or it could be that she has gone about and crafted her characters the way she used to. In any event this book although not stellar is a nice treat for fans of this long time author.
I loved Mitchell and Kate. They were character Ms. McNaught used to create with her older titles. This was not... more info
