Coolcamping France This is the best camping book EVER!! I planned my holiday this year using it and I can honestly say that my family and I had the best holiday ever. We stayed in 3 different campsites and all of them were excellent!
We bought the book for some friends who were travelling around europe and they stayed in quite a lot of the sites - they did say that not all of them were 'fabulous' but alot were (especially La Ferme in the Alps which is our 2009 holiday).
Nearly useless. Don't use this as a camping guide. It is a book and provides very few campsites and poor directions.
Totally outstanding!!! When my book came through the post and flicked through the pages, I actually started juming about and screaming!!! The pictures are so amazing. I was in so much excitement about the holiday I am going on this summer. I am going cycle touring in France, and this book is going to become my bible. Infact I was so impressed by it, I planned my whole route so that I could pick up as many campsites as possible. A real eye-opener I picked this book up more out of curiosity and a certain nostalgia for childhood camping trips than any real interest but quickly found myself thinking `I want to go there...and there...AND there...AND THERE!' There are some really interesting places in the book - not just glam camping stuff like tipis and yurts but honest-to-God, back to nature sites that remind you of what camping ought to be like.
