lacks bite For a book that contains so much action, Plague of the Dead is remarkably dull. Leaden, lumpy, listless dialogue and a cast of characters lifted from the Big Book of Gung Ho Cliches conspire to ruin what is essentially a good plot.If it was a film, it would go straight to video. Best avoided.
Fantastic... I purchased this in July. I had read it in 2 days. I really really got into Plague as soon as I started. Everything works together so well. There is such a mix of characters. I don't think I have ever got so engrossed in a book so quickly. If you haven't bought it. Do it now! Then when you have read this buy Thunder & Ashes too. Plague will not dissapoint. I can assure you.

I don't know how anyone can compare this with World War Z!!!!!!!!
World War Z is BORING! No plot, no real characters! Just lots of boring stories about people you don't care about I love this book, I couldn't put it down, lots of gore, lots of zombie and military action= excellent!! The sequel is also excellent, I cannot wait for the 3rd one to come out!!
Next Best Zombie Book to World War Z Excellent all round Zombie book. I like the way the author doesnt concentrate on fine detail of weapon systems or technical jargon like so many others do just to prove the they've done some research. Recht just tells a story and a good one at that. A must read for Zombie fans.
