Editorial Review:
This large Salad Spinner by Good Grips is the most efficient way of drying wet salad leaves. Simply place the salad in the basket, pop on the lid and press the knob. The internal basket spins and the water expelled. The spinner refrains from moving along the countertop when in use thanks to the non-slip ring on the base. •Large Salad Spinner by Good Grips •Ideal for drying washed salad leaves, herbs, berries etc. •Simple and easy to use •Part of the Good Grips range, this product has complimenting items available •We would advise that this product is washed by hand

big disappointment Having read such positive reviews, I decided to buy the spinner, but unfortunately my experience wasn't positive at all. The spinner broke after 3 months of using - the whole pushy system suddenly fell apart to my and my boyfriend's huge astonishment, as we didn't do anything to it that could cause a damage! The previous spinner, which was a completely different model, last for over 6 years... I sent an email to the company asking for a refund but the manufacturer could only offer me a replacement. Oxo Salad Spinner I saw Jamie Oliver use this type of salad spinner on TV - it made the job sooooo much easier than using conventional spinners. After a quick search on the Net, found what I wanted and it's worth it's weight in gold!
I have back problems and found it very easy to use. It doesn't skid along the worksurfaces, the brake is great and love the fact that it is dishwasher proof (All hail the dishwasher!!)
I no longer end up hugging the salad spinner I had like a long lost friend trying to turn the... more info
Years of service I've had one of these for several years and it's still going strong. I find it excellent for drying off salad leaves, spinach and herbs. It's easy to wash and you can store your washed leaves in it in the fridge until needed. I also have used it to remove rinsing water from soft fruit such as raspberries and strawberries which can get squashed with dabbing dry with a paper towel.
excellent be honest. can you live your life without a salad spinner? you probably can. but should you? no. so if you're going to get one then this is the one for you. the central button you just push down and it spins your bits inside like there's no tomorrow. no longer do you have to contend with a rotating handle like on old-fashioned salad spinners that tend to fly off your counter and pierce you in the eye. the oxo rocks.
