Editorial Review:
Why change a winning formula? On the surface Taxi 2 appears to have been re-purposed from the original high-octane movie, so that a guaranteed hit is assured. There are certainly enough stunts, punches and one-liners sprinkled here and there for good measure. It isn't, however, a simple sequel. True, it gets as close to a carbon copy of the original as possible, but the pace is oh so much faster. Set in Paris on Bastille Day the leading characters are chased by Ninjas, which allows the inclusion of karate action and Jackie-Chan-style moves into the pace of the film.
On the DVD: The disc boasts superb DTS sound, transforming your living room into a Peugeot dealer's idea of heaven, as well as a formidable Dolby Digital 5.1 sound that's as sleek as a freshly polished 406. The image is clean and perfectly transferred. Regrettably there is a distinct lack of bonus features; only a "Making of" featurette, basic filmographies, interviews and two hidden Easter eggs are included here.--Alex Fréau, Amazon.fr

Fabo!!! Just brilliant! Funny, action packed and loads of stunts! I cant think of a bad thing to say about this movie just like the first one. Taxi 2 has not one boring moment in the whole filmed and it keeps you glued to the screen from beginning to end. I just wish we had more movies like this! French cinema these days is brilliant in my opinion, movies like City of the Lost Children, Amelie, Russian Dolls and so on are brilliant.
If you enjoyed Taxi 1, you'll enjoy Taxi 2 - simple This film is definitely for Taxi fans. The first film was a romp through a bunch of characters that could have you on the edge of your seat in fits of laughter. Taxi 2 brings most of these back together for one more trip through the streets of Paris. A japanese high-flier is kidnapped, along come the taxi driver, his hapless cop friend, and his troop of keystone french cops. Result - hilarious sketches. Definitely worth watching - though I'd stop here and not go on to Taxi 3.
Cabulous I d give this 5 stars just for the dozen police car pile up in Paris. If you liked the first episode, this is more of the same blend of action and humour.
Operation Zen !!!! Who would thought a taxi driver could turn out to be a super hero? Luc Besson certainly did...A funny and entertaining sequeal to Taxi. One man one taxi and a whole lot of yakuzas...the elements your need in a ever fast-paced action flick. It's just too intense, you got to see it for your-self! Taxi 2 is a classic example that it IS possible to make a great sequel ! It's got everything you'd expect from a future classic action-comedy ...and it's French !?! Well, it's no surprise to this critic. Author... more info
