Cheap headphones suitable for car or plane I bought some of these headphones for the children to use in the car or on planes when listening mostly to videos. The band is adjustable and on the smallest setting was suitable for my 3 year old boy. The sound is quite bass heavy and a bit muffled as others have commented already so I wouldn't recommend them for music listening however I think they work well in a car and plane environment for listening to videos. The lead is also a little too long and I would have prefered a shorter cable for in-car use.
Bad Sound Quality Even at a reasonable volume these headphones produce a fuzzy, static like output. It's just poor. Avoid these headphones, there are tons of better ones on this site.
For the price - Good Sony MDR-V150 Considering how much could be spent on a pair of headphones, these are amazingly cheap. And, for that reason, are very good value. The base is enhanced a lot. Although it is a heavy, slightly muffled sound. Which is ok, for listening to early rock n roll sixties recordings, which I like. Although fairly limited, the high and mid ranges are evident.To a certain extent only. So if you are not reasonably fussed about having too perfect overall sound quality, these are very good value.... more info
good value but average MDR-V150 For years I have had a pair of Sony CD550 headphones which have just packed up after a vast amount of use. I bought these MDR-V150 to temporary replace them and also to use in the workplace. They are good value for money, but they will never replace the CD550 phones. The cable is far too short for me and needs an extension lead, and they are very uncomfortable after wearing them for 20 minutes or less. They sound good for what they cost, but I would not purchase another pair unless Sony upgraded them to... more info
