The best film in the entire series, as far as I'm concerned As far as I'm concerned, Friday the 13th Part II is the best film in the whole series. Moms did some nice work, but now it's time for the real killing machine to take over. Jason doesn't have the hockey mask yet, and he's not yet the seemingly inhuman, unstoppable killing force he will become, but he definitely earned slasher rookie of the year for his efforts in this film. THE WORST OF THEM ALL I never understood the hype of the FRIDAY THE 13th films (or the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET films). This one stands out as the WORST IN THE SERIES. It is a total bore, feature very poor FX and is soooo predictable. It follows one single formula which is scare, kill, scare, kill. I still don't know why these films had such a hard time in Europe with censorship. They already were trimmed down in the States for an R rating, not leaving much gore to satisfy gore hounds.
