Silliness creeps into the series, but Jason really comes into his own here Some fans name this as their favorite Friday the 13th film - but I'm not one of them. Sure, Jason finally gets the hockey mask and really gets his slashing groove on, but there's no denying the fact that the silliness factor that marred the series as a whole began here. Dope-smoking hippies and the world's worst and dweebiest practical joker definitely lowered my expectations early on, and the whole deal with opening the movie with an extended flashback of the climactic moments of the last film had already... more info
WORST SFX I HAVE EVER SEEN Originally shot in 3D for the big screen all these FX are lost on the TV screen. But 3D FX wouldn't make this boring film any better as it suffers from the same flaws as part 2. The FX are cheap - REAL cheap - and couldn't scare ANYONE anymore, that's why I can't understand why it still remains banned here in Germany (actually got re-banned in 2005). The worst effect was when Jason squeezes a victim's head and his eye pops out into the camera and you can clearly see the wire. That effect ruined the entire... more info
Brilliant Loved this sequel, once I started watching, I couldn't stop. The characters are origional and really likeable, there is a lot of suspence and the death scenes are pretty good, too. Also this is the movie where Jason dones his famous hockey mask. There's not much to say about the plot as it's almost identical to parts 1 and 2, although a small gang of bikers follow the teens to camp (but, of course, Jason is around so they don't last long...) I thought that the chase scene at the end between Jason... more info
Jason's Big Rip Off Let's be honest. No one with a modicum of common sense would approach a movie like this and expect it be any good, in the strictest sense of the word. There are, however, at least two things which one expects to see in a cheesy slasher flick. The first is some serious gore, the second is boobies. Unlike most of the films in the Friday 13th series, this pathetic entry fails to deliver the goods on both counts. The plot is hilarious. It seems that, in spite of the savage murders that occurred at Camp... more info
