Recommended pet I have been using this mouse for a couple of years now and would recommend it. It's ergonomic and attractive in appearance. I have used it for long periods of time when doing graphics and photo manipulation without any discomfort. I find it responsive when doing precision work. I like the very soft click when the mouse buttons are depressed - just enough to let you know its pressed without being intrusive. Red light? What? Let's be quite clear. The light on this mouse is off when the computer is off. Perhaps the reviewer who said it stayed on had put his pc in standby or something.
Microsoft vs. Logitech I wanted a couple of mice for laptops, and couldn't decide between the Microsoft and Logitech, both about the same price on Amazon. So I bought one of each, which means I can now give you a comparison, in case you have the same dilemma! First of all, if you're irritated by mice which don't work properly, and, like me, you have to work in a variety of locations on some horrid desks, you really, really need one of these mice.
