A well advised purchase, but beware issues with high power draw computers Given that these surge protectors are available at nominal cost and will protect your potentially valuable electronic equipment in the event of a power spike, these items are an obvious purchase for every household. Works great, no complaints What can I say? This does the job. The unit is well constructed and has presented no problems after 6 months use.
A MUST for every household..... well your never guess what happened..... our house got struck by lightning, the whole house shook and it wasn't good.
its lucky that i kitted my whole house out with these surge protectors no more than two months before this happened , they have more than likely saved me thousands of pounds.
so , like many others have said its one of those products that holds a question mark but i would seriously recommend that you invest in some of these, before its too late.
It's stupid not to have one Surge protectors are curious things. You have no way of knowing whether they are working. My PC didn't explode today - was that thanks to Belkin, or because there were no surges? You only ever know for sure that it isn't working, not that it is.
But anyway, I have seen a PC explode during a thunder storm. I recovered, but the PC didn't. It was a few years ago, but the PC was high-spec and only 3 months old. A Belkin surge protector costs less than a pizza. Go figure.
