There are some amazingly damning reviews about this film... ... but I found myself helpless with laughter, tears streaming down my face at various points. Great farce, enormous fun. Can't quite see why some critics get so exercised about what is ultimately a harmless but nonetheless delightfully entertaining piece
very very funny a great film and very funny. A great story, and beautifully executed. See it.
Witty and absorbing I first saw this movie during a 'work do' - the CEO organising a cinema evening instead of the usual Italian restaurant. Being a transport company, with many Yorkshiremen, the title of the film was kept secret until the evening itself, and even then only announced once everyone had absorbed the free booze and were sitting in the screening room.
Despite the sceptical atmosphere, once the film started, even the most Yorkshire-and-manly of the audience was gripped and amused. When it finished most 'admitted'... more info
