  We bought this as a toy for our son so he could play alone or with friends.
  Unfortunately the plastic spiral on which the cord rotates gets stuck very easily and it is extremely frustrating to try and play with - so much so that after one afternoon of trying it is relegated to the garage.
  Stick to the original swingball with the metal spiral spring, it was simple and worked!
