Editorial Review:

Throw a disc, catch a ball! The Phlatball puts a new and unpredictable spin on beach or outdoor games! Phlat Ball Junior transforms from a 15cm flying disc to a 10cm ball when thrown; And because it changes shape, it changes trajectory, and the harder it is to predict the flight path, the harder it is to catch! The smaller size allows for quick flings and one-handed catches! Available in hot neon and cool metallic colours!

  • Interest in these Phlat Balls has fallen 'flat'
I bought 2 of these cheap on amazon after much pestering from my kids. In the first few days my kids were interested but after the first week interest has fallen flat and now (months later) they are a forgotten item waiting to be sent to the charity shop. I would advise to stick to conventional frisbees and balls since the Phlat ball is neither here nor there. They don't alway work as expected and because they don't hold the initial novelty factor they are just not worth having.

  • poor design
We have had two phlat balls (i only bought the second one because my son nagged me so much). The first one lasted about 2 months, the second about 1 hour. Both broke because the suction on the suction pad is stronger than the plastic part that it sticks to. In my opinion they are a waste of money - either buy a ball or a frisbee - much more fun and much more kid-proof.

  • Jack of two trades, master of none.
It's a naff ball and a naff frisby.
When in ball mode it's not round enough for my liking.
In frisby mode, it doesn't frisby as well as a frisby.
It can also pinch your skin.
Exactly what awards did it win?
I can't think of any uses for it.
If you're that poor you can't afford seperate ball and frisby, scrunch up some paper to make a ball, and use a CD or tupperwear lid as a frisby.

  • Don't bother
I bought this as a birthday gift for my son. The first time we played with it, it broke. Save your money and buy yourself a proper ball. I would have given it zero stars if I could have.
