Dickens couldn't have done it better A cast of characters that Dickens would envy; a host of children hurling invective and abuse like veteran food critics; the intrepid hero and his army of kitchen "girls" out to civilize the world - documentaries don't get better than this. Essential viewing for anyone trying to change what kids eat It was worth every penny to buy this on Amazon.co.uk and have it shipped to the US where I live. Not only is it highly entertaining, but for anyone who is trying to do more than complain about school lunches, it is essential viewing. Jamie Oliver shows what it takes to get even the most obstinate kids to eat veggies. A huge accomplishment in itself, but the greater accomplishment I think is in showing what it takes to get adults - from parents to politicians - to get kids to eat more veggies. Jamie you are my hero!! Since my son started school in 2001 I began to have concerns about the quality of school dinners. Like many mothers, I am sure, I asked pertinent questions about quality and ingredients and they were always met with the same answer - `we do our best with the funds available and our meals are considered healthy and balanced' Although you wouldnt catch one of the teachers eating the high fat, processed muck that was served up each day!!
