Better signal without it
I bought one of these thinking it would give me a great reception but it was frustrating from the start. I tried to plug it into a socket next to a bench top but because its so bulky it wouldn't fit in the gap between the bench and socket. Another annoying thing is that it has female connections so your aerial goes into one no problem but the other lead which runs from your tv set to the amplifier has to have a male connection at both ends which are not common so I was stuck.
