We felt a strange disturbance in the Force when the first consignment of these wonderful characters arrived for testing at gadgetshop HQ. For there was something eerily realistic about dressing a plastic potato as an Imperial Stormtrooper, complete with laser masher for added authenticity (set to stun to spare the skin of the Princess, naturally). For there's simply no mistaking the somewhat startling news that Mr Potato Head has gone over to the dark side to become the ever-faithful, armour-clad henchman of Darth Tater. Indeed, it took our colleague Geoff some while to accept this as hard fact. But he took it like a man in the end.Now, with the Jedi in retreat and Tater's shock troops - and potatoes - spreading out across the Galaxy with mashers at the ready, few can stand in their way without fearing a dashed good chipping. And, when the fun has been had and the Rebel Alliance crushed, the Spud Trooper's many parts and accessories stow neatly inside his potatoey body. Which is thoughtful of him. Beware. The Force is strong in this one.

Hours of fun! I bought one of these for my hubby last year for Xmas. He absolutely loved it! He's a big Star Wars fan, and loves anything slightly quirky, so this was perfect. I would recommend this to anyone with a slightly Star Wars obsessed friend/relative. I will definitely be buying him the Artoo-Potatoo!
Made a 32 year old feel 5 again!! This is so cool. My girfriend bought me one as a graduation present and spent about an hour playing Star Wars until I HAD to go out for dinner.
To cool for words - They HAVE to make a Yoda version! How much fun would that be?!?!?!?!
Spud Wars If you happen to have Darth Tater then Spud Trooper is for you! Suitable for young and old alike, Spud Trooper is hours of fun! Great way to get the kids imaginations firing as the possibilities are endless and so are the laughs! Beware of the smaller pieces around young children (under 3). A worthy addition to any Mr Potato Head or Star Wars collection!
