This is JUST A CRADLE-but I am glad I bought it. No, this is not a replacement for a damaged USB cable that you had with your Walkman. This is just a cradle that can be used for charging and song transfer with cables supplied only with your walkman-so instead of plugging the cable into the bottom of your sony walkman, you plug the cable into the cradle, then stand your walkman on the cradle. This gives you two choices: charge from plug(supplied with walkman) or plug USB (supplied with Walkman) into PC to charge and transfer tracks through Sonicstage... more info

Nothing extra - but I'm still glad I got it I got this because I wanted to plug my walkman into the line-in on my bedside radio and I thought this was the only way to do it. Only on reading the smallprint on the documentation INSIDE the walkman box (ie once I'd bought the cradle too) did I find that the walkman itself can generate a viable line-out signal (I looked at both the Amazon and Sony sites before buying, but did not find this info anywhere). All that annoyance apart, though, I'm much happier having the cradle by my bed than... more info
