WORSE THAN BAD!!!!!! I purchased this after reading the other reviews, and I regret not paying more attention to the one negative review, believe me this film is awful. Why Ben Affleck agreed to act in it is a mystery to me, I can only surmise the money was too good to refuse. Please give this movie a miss and read a good book instead. The great cast are unable to do anything about the awful storyline and script. If I could rate it less than one star I would. Appalling with a capital A!!
VERY VERY FUNNY Watched it many times now and I have to say, it get funnier every time. Great film, happy ending. You wont be disappointed im sure but if you dont like this film then you dont like Christmas, simple as that. Very funny and definitely got my money worth.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! painful! As I said above, this is atrocious from start to finish! I like Ben Affleck but Aaaaaaaaaargh! bad bad bad Ben! Get on the naughty step!
A pleasant surprise My husband brought this film home after I asked him to rent something Christmassy and I must admit I didn't think I was going to like it. Let's be fair - recent Ben Affleck movies haven't really made him an ambassador for a good film, even if he is good eye candy. But I was pleasantly surprised, this is a funny, feel good Christmas movie and Ben Affleck and James Gandolfini's contrasting characters bounce off one another with hilarity.
