very good purchase, but... i have to agree with mr cook's review. these were excellent speakers for a while, (think i've had them 18 months or so) but the connection has just gone dodgy and now you have to fiddle around with the the cable that connects to the ipod (or whatever it is you have it plugged into to get sound out of.) i especially liked the fact i wasn't reduced to plugging it into my ipod, it worked just as well with my laptop.
a decent buy, but don't overspend on it.
Good - but not really meant for the iPod nano At this price, you can't really go wrong. They're lightweight and, considering the speaker size, the sound is quite good - although it won't ever replace what you get with earphones. However, as observed by another reviewer, the iPod nano has its jack plug on the base, so it won't stand up in the cradle (except upside down!) and, because the nano's much smaller than the speaker set, it does look a bit daft.
Impressive sound for the size I've just bought these speakers and am impressed by the volume, sound quality and design. Obviously they are not the best quality speakers you will ever get, but they meet my expectations completely. The only grumble is that they do not come with the DC power supply that is an alternative to the batteries. I had an appropriate DC power supply for another piece of equipment, but from the product description I was surprised by its absence.
Not adviseable to buy for ipod nano I brought these speakers from Amazon a few months ago after buying my ipod nano. I thought they were very good value. They are also very good to take with you places due to their folding up feature. The only problem is the ipod nano, unlike other ipods, has the headphone connection at the bottom. This meant that it was akward to fit in and because of the small size of the nano it looked stupid in the speakers. Also it ruins the wire and after a while you have to struggle to keep it in to hear the music.... more info
