"How to Start Your Own Country" is, quite simply, excellent. The two discs contain all of the episodes as well as Citizen TV (which is really very funny), deleted scenes and a nice set of special features. Danny Wallace is a genius! Great for watching on a quiet day in, and it would make a fantastic gift for anyone with a good sense of humour. Plus, for just under £9 it's a bargain!

  • Not bad
I didn't manage to catch all these episodes when they first aired on TV, I probably saw 2 all the way through and I liked what I saw.
I was also a fan of Danny's book, so I had no hesitation in purchasing this DVD.
The DVD itself is full of so many extras, it's quite incredible really. In fact I would go as far to say that for extras this is the best DVD I own.

  • All Hail Danny
    This Series was immense,
Danny Wallace ventured forth with a scheme much reminiscent of
"Join Me" and started his own country (which is still going) in
his small london apartment,i think this series was hillarious and
you should definately buy it! Its well worth your time and money .
    what are you waiting for?

  • Thought there would be more
Let me break it down. I watched the series thinking Mr. Wallace would actually start his own country and face all the obstacles there are. What I saw was 5 episodes of him going round the world and basically doing a documentary on them and their customs. In the last episode he actually tries to join the UN. Every episode should have been like that: Trying to actually start a country.
He interviews various authorities on government, constitution, punishment (including capital), etc... He even interviews... more info
