Perfect for my daughters bedroom This was given to us as a gift for our 4yr old daughter who struggled to sleep a whole night. She's so scared of the dark that her bedroom light always had to be left on. The Jellephish Moodlamp was put on her bedside and shes now happy to sleep with just that on while it changes through the colours. Its that simple to use she uses the remote control and changes the modes all by herself. When it goes green, "Sound to Light" mode, she really loves it as it changes to the music. Not worth the money Out of the box, there's a lot of packaging. A seperate plastic sleeve for every disc of the base and every part in between. You have to construct it which takes a few minutes.
Once you've made the stand, you notice it is extremely wobbly. Not rigid at all and kind of annoying. I have my lamp on my bedside table, if I knock the table you can hear all the discs rattling around. It's a bit cheap really, didn't really mind that it was plastic instead of glass, but it should fit together properly. Even so,... more info
The Best Colour Change Lamp with Sound to Light! A*** :o) Well we first saw the Jellephish on BBC1, on DIY SOS where they used the Moodlamp domes on the wall in a run down double garage that was being converted into a play/party room for a families young daughter with downs syndrome. We then saw it in the product recommendations at the back where it had a very good write up. Well what can i say, it's stunning, the colours are so deep and in the dark its mesmerising! given me a mood!!! just recieved this lamp, and first impressions are not good, stand looks cheap (and is), dome lights up with a few colours (not infinite), and when lit, it shows all the fixings and gaps within the dome because of cheap desgin. got to say, that i went for this lamp, due to magazine reviews, last time i do that. it is not worth £80 of anybodys money, more like £30. look elsewhere!!!
