It's not the original, but it's still great 3 stars is a ludicrous overall rating for this game. The campaign far outstrips any of the originals in terms of far better NPCs, a more involving storyline rather than simply "Find 4 items of X and return for next chapter", and a much improved visual experience. True, the downside of the visual upgrades include a ridiculous complication of the toolset, effectively eliminating the casual mod maker, and it does make the game rather system intensive for what it is. So, to sum up... I'm not going to go into too much detail here, because it's mostly to be found in the other reviews. But basically, this is a great game with most of the character and charm of forgotten realms games that have came before, but is rendered almost unplayable by the shoddy cameras, the lack of control, the moronic AI and many glitches that include the game refusing to start if it doesn't detect 128MB of graphics memory (which it often doesn't detect even if you do have it). Slow Starter *very mild spoiler* I am now approaching the end of Neverwinter Nights 2 about two years after I bought it. Initially it wasn't great but the MOTB expansion improved the original game and made it playable. The initial quests are still a bit of a chore and the camera is still duff, but get a little further in and it takes off. This game is pants! This game is utter rubbish. Where the hell did they get the idea to change the way the graphics worked? Graphics are rubbish, gameplay is non existant. Do not buy this game
