Great little device but needs improving. Really handy piece of kit for traveling although not quite upto Sony's usual standards in sound quality as the volume is not quite loud enough on these and there are not adjustments for bass or treble. Other than that it's nice and easy to use and has great battery life.
avoid Look elsewhere...seriouslly. i ignored similar posts to the ones here and bought it anyway. The software is diabolical and horrendously slow. This is the main problem with this unit. Secondly, the noise cancelling in one ear ceased to work after 5 days.Its useless with only one earpiece enabled.Sony were absolutely not interested in replacing it. Nw-E005BC This is a great little unit, with superb sound quality for the size. The battery life is amazing and the time to recharge (from USB port) can't be beaten. The earphones are of good quality (although jumping on the ipod bandwagon being white!) with great bass and tone. Once you get used to the controls, it is extremely easy to navigate around and you can find most features relatively quickly. This is perfect for the gym due to it's size and weight. Good audio quality, but not user-friendly This Sony Walkman gives clear audio with good bass (dependent on the headphone used, the provided one is not bad). Uploading songs to it is a pain, as mentioned by many other users. You need to use SonicStage and if you're listening to foreign music with foreign titles, then it's no good as SonicStage doesn't display the words properly (no coding i guess). The other issue is the Copyright protection, which means you can only upload music that the software 'thinks' it's copyrighted, very typical of Sony.... more info
