  • Piece of rubbish
Extremely low quality piece of crap. When batteries are inserted, they press against the 'on' switch from the inside so that it doesn't stay switched on! Transmitter is extremely weak - a car radio will struggle to pick it up and even if it does, you need to have both the ipod and the sterio on full volume to hear anything.
Cleverly sold for 1p, with P and P of £5 so that if you try to get your money back you would only get the 1p (having said that, the true market value of the thing can't be... more info

  • It does work
The GZ wireless transmitter has some limitations. It picks up interference if used to transmit music within the house - this I think is because of all the power cables. However in the car it works fine although lacking in bass notes - so tends to be a bit high-pitched.
Also noticed that when coneected to the battery-saver - it can pick up interference if driving through high density housing - such as rows of terraced houses.
All in all it does work giving a clear signal to the radio in the car.more info

  • Get what you pay for?
Well, I think I got more than I payed for. I payed £0.01 plus £5 p&p. It's not perfect MP3 quality but you shouldn't expect more from a radio transmitter. I get a little bit of interference now and again but, again, that should be expected. On the whole I get very good quality transfer of music from my iPod. Convenience on the road! I had this recommended to me and they think it's pretty good too.

  • GZ Whistle
Yes its very straight forward and easy to use. But when plugged into the vehicle's lighter socket for battery saving then an intrusive whine is picked up from the vehicles electronics - on three different vehicles. Variable with engine speed it is probable alternator interference. When used with a PDA Satalite navigation system playing mp3s via Windows Media Player the navigation instructions are also sent through the cars speakers.... with a double whine!
