And so we arrive at the second half of Prison Break's maiden series, with the inmates in something of a predicament. There are no spoilers here, but rest assured that the pace, the energy and the sheer brass that defined the first half are all present and correct here.
What's refreshing about the show, particularly in the current TV climate where series such as Lost always seem to be holding back so that they can eek out another season, is that Prison Break never really loses its momentum, and rarely swerves to avoid what's in its way. Granted, in among the episodes in this boxset you'll find one devoted purely to back story, yet even that proves to have a significant place in the Prison Break world.
Of course, to enjoy the show the same rules apply as they did to the first half of the series. You need to throw ideas of realism towards the window, and you need to accept that each episode will tick off another in the series of prison clichés you were probably expecting when you got going with episode one all that time back. But heck, this is exciting television, featuring genuine cliffhangers, a series of characters you can't help but either root for or hiss and boo at, and a great deal of slick, fast entertainment. --Simon Brew

The story just gets better and better As the season moves on the episodes just get more exciting, the finale of season one leaves so many unanswered questions you find yourself desperate to know the outcome in season two

Break out show. This show is fantastic, it may be a little ott but most things are and any way most soap ops are more ott than this.
This along with Battle star galactica are two of the greatest dramatic shows on tv. The reviews are very crittical of the price which is abit strange because if you get them here on amazon the whole season will only cost you about £40 with free delivery so shop around and get the best price or get the us set which as more extras.
Pricing? Please dont downrate a program because of the price, we want good reviews of the series not of the pricing structure. And for your information, if you buy them both seperatly, it works out cheaper! Anyway I must agree I am completly gripped by this sotryline, just finished watching the series part one boxset, and I loved it to bits! I dont know if I can wait another 18 days for part 2 to come out :(
WOW ~ First Class or What! Series 1, Part 2 of Prison Break does not lose its momentum at all. The pace, the energy, the cliffhangers, etc. are still there. It is like an exhilarating book that you cannot put down! I feel the price for the DVDs are in-line with other serials out at the moment, and granted the price will come down if you wait a bit ~ But isn't that the same for hardbacks/paperbacks? All I can say is "Roll on series 2"!
