The connections are straightforward, AV and a power source, and these leads are included!
Once you're connected, the FUPS intuitive plug and play technology will essentially complete the set-up process automatically. Operated entirely by the remote control, FUPS guides you with simple, easy to use on screen menus, through any task you wish to complete. Also, with 5 recording modes, you can choose your record mode based on desired time or quality (shorter time = better quality).

The AVD - (Active Video Disk) works as a stand alone product, or can be combined with the accessory units to boost its awesome capabilities.
It functions as a Personal Video Recorder when connected to a television, VCR, DVD Player, Mini DV, Video Camera, in fact, anything with an AV output. Up to an amazing 400 hours on the 80GB hard drive. Connects to any device with AV output through the AV leads supplied with the model. Five recording modes for your option, High Quality, Short Play, Long Play, Extended Quality and Super Long Play. HQ mode provides equivalent to DVD recording quality and time.
Schedule Record function enables you to set the date, start time, length and one of five recording modes as you require on your recorder. Record a program while watching any previous programs recorded in the Hard Disk simultaneously.
The AVD can function as a Hard Drive with a built in player, with the ability to play direct to any television without any additional playing device (VCR, DVD Player). Play programmes previously recorded on any TV or monitor. The only connections required are an AV cable (included) and a DC Power adapter (included). All functions are accessed by the remote control.
